As National Program Assistant for the Community Land Protection Program, Sam plays a pivotal role in collecting and managing data from field staff and community members, ensuring meaningful community participation in environmental and natural resource decision-making. His expertise spans GIS data collection, community land mapping, and monitoring and evaluation, with a strong focus on the formalization of customary land tenure. Beyond project coordination, Sam contributes to communications and knowledge management, maintaining SDI’s online filing systems, reporting tools, and digital platforms. Sam has been with SDI since 2017, initially joining as an intern. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Starz University and a GIS certificate from the University of Twente.
